Many hands and hearts make Melbourne Lights work! We are so thankful for our incredible volunteers that serve week after week.

Some of the areas that you can get involved with each week are:

​

• Cafe: This team keeps everyone going with their caffeine fix, but most importantly they facilitate fellowship as people stick around afterwards or come early to hang out. You would take orders or make coffees and be a friendly point of contact.

• ​Car Parking: The first friendly faces people see when they arrive at MLC. We have some limitations with parking due to using our neighbours facilities so this is a vital area of service. 

• Connection: This is the team that greets you as you arrive at the building. They show guests the facilities and make everyone feel welcomed. They also follow up with guests after the meeting to help them connect into MLC.

• Media: If you have a passion for photography or videography, then this is the team for you. This team captures moments in meetings and events that we can use on our website and socials.

• Kids: Our Kids team are key in bringing through the next generation with a heart for Jesus, His word and His presence. They are not a group of babysitters but a team of people who help kids connect with Jesus in a meaningful way for their age. There are two teams working with different ages: toddlers to 3 year olds and our Kinder and Primary aged kids.

• Music: Worship is an integral part of our Sunday morning. If you can sing or play an instrument and love leading people into the presence of Jesus, we would love to see you get involved.

• Multimedia: This team helps facilitate worship by organising media on the screens before, after and during the services. The team is focused on making technology work seamlessly throughout our meetings.

• Sound: Our Sound Team creates an inviting worship space by balancing the sound so everyone can engage in our worship times. They team up with the music team to make sure all the microphones and instruments blend beautifully.

• Tidy: On a Sunday morning, our facility needs a quick reset between our two services. The Tidy team creates an inviting and comfortable environment by ensuring each area of our building is fresh, tidy, and welcoming.

• Youth: Each Friday evening of the school  term, we run our REVIVE Youth aimed at Secondary aged students. Our Youth Leadership Team  help to facilitate an environment where our teenagers can encounter God, build friendships, and have fun.
